What are the tuition costs?
Tuition will depend on the Program you take. All individual classes are $12 per class hour. If a student takes Program II, Massage Professional, Basic Massage class is $12 per class hour and each consecutive class after that is $10 per class hour.

Do you have financial aid?
Yes, for those that qualify, we have local banks that work with us and also have in house loans.

Can I start at any time?
Yes, however, some of our classes do have prerequisites. Click on the Classes link for more details. All of our classes are scheduled throughout the year. Our Basic Massage class is offered twice a year and other classes are scheduled on a rotation to complete 500 hours in a one year period.

When do your classes meet?
Our evening classes are from 7pm - 10 pm.
Saturday classes are from 10 am - 6 pm.

Will I be licensed or certified?
No, the city or county where you work will license you, Total Health Works gives a certificate of completion for each class attended. This does not mean you are certified. It only means you have attended a state approved school.

Can I be licensed or certified?
The city or county in which you work may license you. The National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork has a certification test that requires 500 hours of education. Visit their web site for more details at www.nctmb.com

What is the cost of Seminar?
One day seminars taught by Total Health Works instructors require $150 if paid two weeks in advance, $175 if paid one week in advance, and $275 if paid less thatn one week prior to the class. Other seminars depend on the visiting instructor. Click on the Seminars link for details.

Are there any prerequisites?
Yes, we do require Basic Massage be completed before Deep Tissue. Basic Massage and Deep Tissue are required before enrolling in Advanced Modalities.

Do I have to take Program I, Massage Practitioner before Program II, Massage Professional?
No, Program II, Massage Professional is an extension of Program I, Massage Practitioner. Our Basic Massage class is the starting point for both programs.

How long is each program?
Program I, Massage Practitioner is a total of 150 hours and can be completed in 13 weeks. Program II, Massage Professional is a total of 500 hours and can be completed in one year.

Do I have to start with Basic Massage?
It is not essential to start with Basic Massage. You may start with Reflexology or Aromatherapy; however Basic Massage is the starting point for the massage classes.

Will I be able to transfer hours if I decide to go elsewhere?
This depends on where you transfer, some cities and states will accept classes from other states. Usually as long as the schools are state approved classes will transfer at least partial credits.

Can my hours from another school count toward Total Health Works?
Sometimes. We have a testing out program for those that have had some prior schooling. Check with the school for more details
