Total Health Works is striving to broaden the careers of all massage therapists. In order to provide quality education, we have developed a curriculum to expand the variety of training and experience. Program I, Massage Practitioner, is our Basic Massage course. This program gives an overview of massage from knowledge of the human body to getting an idea of running your own business. Completed in just 12 weeks for 150 hours of education, Program I can open a path to any potential therapist. Program II, Massage Professional, provides a greater understanding of massage therapy with 500 hours of education. We begin this program with Basic Massage and progress through Deep Tissue, Advanced Modalities, Reflexology, Therapeutic Spa and Aromatherapy/Herbology. These classes will give the therapist the ability to understand client needs as well as address specific problems and injuries. Completed in one year, Program II will assist any individual on the serious track to massage therapy. Elective classes are available throughout the year to add to your credits. These include seminars on a variety of subjects from, but not limited to: Pregnancy massage, Lymphatic massage, Seated Chair/Event massage, Hot Stone massage, Structural Release, and Iridology.
